Taro Sakamoto

Taro Sakamoto (坂本 太郎, Sakamoto Tarō) is the main protagonist of the Sakamoto Days series. formerly known as the greatest hitman of all time, feared by bad guys and admired by hitmen.

Personality

Sakamoto is a very laid-back and stoic individual. He rarely shows strong emotions, even in the face of danger. However, his love for his family is his defining trait. He promised his wife, Aoi, that he would never kill again, a vow he upholds with immense difficulty given the constant attacks from the assassin world.

Abilities

Despite having gained significant weight since his retirement, Sakamoto's skills are still top-tier.

  • Improvised Weaponry: He can turn anything around him (staplers, pens, labels) into a deadly weapon.
  • Superhuman Strength & Speed: Even in his chubby form, he outclasses most professional assassins.
  • Slim Form: When he burns enough calories during intense combat, he temporarily reverts to his slim, prime physical state, drastically increasing his capabilities.

History

Sakamoto left the JCC (Japan Clarion Club) and the world of assassins after falling in love with Aoi. He now owns and operates "Sakamoto Shoten," a peaceful convenience store in the suburbs.
