Trigun Stargaze Episode 6 Review: Vash the Stampede Still Can't Catch a Break

Trigun Stargaze continues to hurt us. Episode 6 is a visual masterpiece that reminds us why Orange is the CGI goat.

Vash the Stampede facing a new threat in Trigun Stargaze

Studio Orange, I have a question: Why do you hate Vash so much?

Trigun Stargaze Episode 6 just dropped, and I need a drink. This isn't just "good CGI anime." This is art. This is why 2D purists need to shut up and watch.

Pros: Camera work that belongs in Hollywood, Vash's micro-expressions, Wolfwood being the best priest.

Cons: My emotional stability is gone.

The Action Choreography is Illegal

There is a shot in this episode—you know the one—where the camera tracks Vash sliding under a bullet storm, spins 360 degrees, and transitions into a Wolfwood cross-punisher slam.

It shouldn't be possible. If a human animator tried to draw that, their hand would fall off. Orange uses 3D not to cut corners, but to do things 2D literally can't. The kinetic energy is insane. You feel the weight of Wolfwood's cross. You feel the recoil of Vash's revolver.

Vash: The Sad Clown

Vash smiles. We laugh. But if you look at his eyes in this episode? He is broken. The voice acting is top tier. You can hear the exhaustion in his voice. He's been running for 150 years (give or take), and Episode 6 makes you feel every second of that fatigue.

Narrative Pacing

Usually, Trigun moves at Mach 10. But this episode slowed down. It gave us quiet moments in the desert. It gave us character interactions that weren't just screaming over gunfire. And honestly? We needed it. Because I have a feeling the next episode is going to destroy everything we love.

Comparison to Stampede

Trigun Stampede was the intro. Stargaze is the main event. The villain presence is stronger. The stakes are higher. The planet feels more dead.

Final Verdict

Stop complaining about CGI. Stop saying "1998 was better." Watch this show. Witness greatness.

Watch this if you like westerns, sci-fi, and crying. Skip if you think "CGI is bad" because you are stuck in 2016.
