Episode 14 bypass film version's weird energy-eating resolution. Goku run out of God form, run out of gas, just clenches fist and punches Beerus sphere directly into nothing. Raw impact carry weight movie lacked. Fans argue endlessly about tier lists—fueling dumb debates covered in Power Scaling is Stupid: Why Goku vs Saitama Will Never Have an Answer—yet this fight work because stakes feel desperate, not theoretical. Universal-shockwave gimmick take backseat to Goku simply refusing stay down.

Beerus fake-sleep exit protect threat level without feeling cheap. Whis catch bluff instantly, cement duo dynamic that carry series forward. Subtext show Beerus spared planet out of genuine respect, not technicality. Post-fight comedy reset tension cleanly: Gohan awkward baby announcement, Goten side-eyeing Vegeta, Mr. Satan already scheming press conference.

Visuals still hold scars of Toei rushed schedule, but key combat cuts show genuine care. Impact frames hit mark. Sound design hammer home weight, though Jōji Yanami frail delivery as King Kai cast shadow over production reality.

Dragon Ball Super stumble out gate, but Episode 14 prove television format can out-punch theatrical predecessor when storyboard care about impact over polish. Arc finale deliver definitive clash franchise need.
